In recognition of India’s Independence Day on August 15th, Kaira Rao and Riyana Parikh, both from Flemington, set up a lemonade and Indian food stand to celebrate and raise funds for Hunterdon Medical Center. Over forty friends and neighbors visited their stand and the girls donated $260 to the Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation. In addition, Riyana and her sister Aanya are now selling tie-dye masks, bandanas and hair scrunchies to raise additional funds. To visit their shop, go to @riyastiedye on Instagram or Etsy.
