A group of children wanted to make a difference and give back to their community. Shiven Bansal, age 12, Saanvi Bansal, age 8, Myra Panthri, age 12, Aayan Panthri, age 8, and Ajay Patel, age 11 organized a neighborhood car wash on Sunday, July 25th.. Forty neighbors lined the street to get their cars washed and support their cause.
“We wanted to do something to support Hunterdon Medical Center and decided to hold a car wash at our house. We created flyers and distributed them throughout our neighborhood. Our parents helped to make sure we had the right supplies, but we did all the work,” explained Shiven Bansal. The car wash raised $1,045 and proceeds were donated to support Hunterdon Medical Center. In addition, the group of children sold snacks and food during the car wash. This is the third car wash fundraiser the children organized and to date have raised nearly $3,000 for Hunterdon Medical Center.
