Intensive Family Support Services to Host Virtual Program “Transitioning Back: The Emotional and Mental Impact and Strategies to Help”
On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Intensive Family Support Services will host a free virtual presentation entitled, “Transitioning Back: The Emotional and Mental Impact and Strategies to Help”. The presentation, hosted via Zoom, will explore the emotional and mental impact the pandemic has had on society.
The presenters, Cynthia Comparato, LCSW, Clinical Coordinator, Outpatient Psychological Services, and Theresa Miskimen, MD, DFAPA, Medical Director and Chair, Hunterdon Behavioral Health Care Department of Psychiatry, will provide tips and strategies to help ease the process of transitioning back, whether it be to the office or to social gatherings. An opportunity to ask questions will also be available during the presentation. You must RSVP to attend and questions can also be submitted prior to the presentation. Intensive Family Support Services is a community outreach program available through Hunterdon Behavioral Health that assists families in their understanding of psychiatric disorders and the effects upon family life. Their goal is to form a collaborative, therapeutic alliance with families so that they can increase their knowledge, as well as coping and communication skills.
