Hunterdon Medical Center and Arc of NJ’s Family Institute to Host Workshop for Siblings of Kids with Special Needs
Hunterdon Medical Center and the Arc of NJ’s Family Institute will host a SibShop, a day of fun activities for siblings of kids with special needs on Saturday, April 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Francis A. Desmares School. This program is open to children ages 8-12 and includes a pizza lunch.
The SibShop is sponsored by local Whitehouse Station charity, Patrick’s Pals and will provide brothers and sisters of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities an opportunity to share and connect with peers who “get it.” The Sibshop program acknowledges that brothers and sisters of people with special needs, like their parents, may need support. Attending a Sibshop allows siblings a chance to meet one another in a relaxed setting.
The Frances A. Desmares School is located at 16 Old Clinton Rd. in Flemington. There is no cost to attend. For more information, please call Susan Freedman at 908-788-6399 or e-mail email@example.com.
