Focused on Patient Safety, Hunterdon Medical Center Earns an “A” Safety Grade from Leapfrog Group
Hunterdon Medical Center was honored with an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade by The Leapfrog Group, a Washington D.C.-based organization aiming to improve health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers.
In the five overall categories, Hunterdon Medical Center achieved Best Hospital Scores in four areas including Problems after Surgery, Practices to Prevent Errors, Safety Problems, and Doctors, Nurses & Hospital Staff.

Developed under the guidance of an Expert Panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign A, B, C, D, and F grades to approximately 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year. It is calculated by top patient safety experts, peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and free to the public.
