Basic Babysitting For Youth ages 11-15 $80 (includes AHA Friends and Family CPR for Child and Infant)
What is it?
Babysitters are trusted with the safety and welfare of a child in the absence of a parent or guardian. Youths 11 thru 15 are at a key stage in life where this responsibility signals a move toward managing mature and challenging tasks for both themselves and others. This course covers the skills necessary to help prepare for that responsibility as a babysitter.
This popular program helps young adults learn basic age-by-age childcare skills, safety and dealing with emergencies, managing babysitting as a business, first aid and AHA Friends and Family CPR. The day is filled with fun exercises, demonstrations and manikin practice. Students will receive a program guide, emergency information flash cards and business start-up forms. Upon completion, students will also receive a course participation certificate and AHA Friends and Family CPR participant card.
