is a free service offered exclusively at Hunterdon Medical Center. She can help you with a wide range of concerns, from finding a doctor or midwife to caring for a newborn and everything in between. She can provide you with:
- Pre-Pregnancy Information Packet Pre-pregnancy information materials that will answer many questions you may have about making healthy lifestyle changes before you become pregnant.
- Early Pregnancy Information Packet Offered to couples up to the sixth month of pregnancy.

If you are newly pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, you may feel overwhelmed by all of the things you need to know and do. Your Personal Birth Consultant is here to guide you through this exciting time. During personal meetings scheduled at your convenience throughout your pregnancy, your Personal Birth Consultant will provide you with information on:
- Preconception
- Choosing a doctor or midwife
- Fetal Growth and development
- Nutritional needs during pregnancy
- Coping with the physical symptoms of pregnancy
- Childbirth classes
- Options available for pain control and comfort during labor and birth
- Infant care classes
- Breastfeeding
- Postpartum information
Your Personal Birth Consultant will also conduct a free tour of our Maternity and Newborn Care Center.
Your Personal Birth Consultant will schedule one-on-one meetings with you throughtout your pregnancy. You can also call her during regular business hours if you have additional questions. She will act as a resource for you, to ensure that your special needs are met. For more immediate concerns, you should call your doctor or midwife.
Your Personal Birth Consultant will help you understand and adjust to the changes in your body during pregnancy and after delivery, and to the new addition to your family.
