Nurse Intern Program

Nurse with IV BagThe Nurse Intern Program is an innovative program designed by our Nursing Staff Development Department, Nurse Directors and Staff Nurses to enable student nurses to enhance their nursing skills at the bedside under the direct supervision of our highly trained RN's.

As a nurse intern, you will:

  • Receive patient care assistant orientation, introduction to hospital policies and procedures and technical skills
  • Have an opportunity to work side by side with highly skilled RN's
  • Gain valuable clinical experience as you prepare for graduation
  • Experience the caring and collaborative practice of our physicians and nurses
  • Work on a per diem basis allowing you time to devote to studies. Nurse Interns are used on all three shifts throughout the year

  • Foster mutual respect, self-esteem and pride in nursing

Requirements for Admission:

  • Completion of Nursing Fundamentals or Foundations of Nursing
  • Maintain academic requirements for your school
