Visiting Health and Supportive Services Receives Accreditation for Home Care

The Board of Trustees of the Commission on Accreditation for Home Care has reaccredited with distinction Visiting Health and Supportive Services in Raritan Township for its personal care and in-home skilled nursing services.

Accreditation involves an extensive evaluation and review process to ensure that home care agencies in New Jersey are maintaining strict, defined standards.  Once accredited, agencies must undergo annual monitoring visits to ensure compliance with the standards. Distinction is awarded only when a Provider has demonstrated an ongoing pattern of full compliance for a minimum of two consecutive monitoring years.

The Commission on Accreditation for Home Care was established in 1986 to promote and enforce quality assurance standards for home care in New Jersey.  The Commission on Accreditation for Home Care develops Standards, evaluates the implementation of the Standards and accredits agencies that are in compliance with those Standards to ensure the delivery of high quality home care to the communities in the State of New Jersey.
