Hunterdon Hospice Will Offer Training for New Volunteers
Hunterdon Hospice will begin its Volunteer Training Program on Friday mornings from September 28 through November 2, 2018. The training will be held at the offices of Hunterdon Hospice, located at 215 Route 31 South in Flemington, from 9am – 12 noon.
Training to become a Hunterdon Hospice volunteer is a unique and meaningful experience. This six week course is designed to educate and train participants to fulfill various volunteer roles. Content includes the history of hospice in America, the history of Hunterdon Hospice in our community, the services provided by Hunterdon Hospice and the skills needed to be a volunteer.
Hunterdon Hospice volunteers are needed for patient and family support, office support, deliveries, fundraising events & community awareness events. Additionally, we welcome those with special skills in cosmetology, massage, Reiki, music and pet therapy to help support the complimentary services offered to patients under Hunterdon Hospice’s care.
