Hunterdon Healthcare to Host Live Facebook Chat on Tick Borne Diseases
While it is a good idea to take preventive measures against ticks year-round, it is important to be extra cautious during the summer when ticks are most active. In the United States, some ticks carry pathogens that can cause human disease, including Lyme, anaplasmosis and babesiosis.
Hunterdon Healthcare will be hosting a Facebook chat on Monday, June 26th from 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. to discuss tick borne diseases. Participants may post their questions on ticks to the Hunterdon Healthcare page and have them answered by an expert.
The chat will be moderated by Rose Puelle, Senior Director Population Health for Hunterdon HealthCare Partners; Lisa Rasimowicz, MSN, RN, CIC, Director of Infection Prevention at Hunterdon Medical Center; and Tadhgh Rainey, Division Head, Hunterdon County Division of Health Services. To join the chat, visit Facebook.com/HunterdonHealthcare. If you are unable to log onto the chat and would like to ask a question, please e-mail your questions to Kseelig@hhsnj.org.
