Hunterdon Medical Center Physician Earns Subspecialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine

Hunterdon Medical Center physician, Robert C. More, MD, a partner in the Hunterdon Orthopedic Institute, recently received a Subspecialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS).
Dr. More has been Board Certified by the ABOS since 1992. Recognizing the trend of specialization within Orthopedics, the ABOS have been starting to issue specialty certificates, first in Hand Surgery, and now for the first time in Sports Medicine.
To receive the Subspecialty Certificate in Sports Medicine, Dr. More had to submit a summary of all sports medicine patients that he treated over the course of a year both surgically and without surgery. Once that patient treatment summary was approved by the Board, he was then eligible for a written examination last November. Dr. More was one of the Orthopedic Surgeons who passed this rigorous approval process.
Dr. More is an Orthopedic Consultant to the five Hunterdon County High Schools. "Working with the local athletes has always been the most satisfying part of my practice," explained Dr. More.
