Hunterdon Healthcare Introduces Dermedics

Hunterdon Healthcare introduces a new service called Dermedics, laser skincare available at Hunterdon Family Medicine located in the Hunterdon Medical Pavilion, 190 Rte. 31, Ste. 500 in Flemington.
Dermedics provides laser treatments for acne, skin rejuvenation, sun damaged skin, brown spots, facial veins and rosacea. Dermedics uses the Isolaz™ Laser System for revolutionary acne therapy and skin rejuvenation. It is the only therapy in the world that combines a vacuum to apply gentle pressure on an individual’s pores with a painless laser to help destroy the acne causing bacteria, resulting in radiant clear skin. The laser light and vacuum energy can also help to treat sun-damaged skin, brown spots and tiny broken capillaries, purifying the skin from the inside out.
In addition, the service offers laser hair removal and laser treatment for cellulite. Cellulite can be treated with the Tri-Active™ Laser Dermology(SM) system which combines the use of six diode lasers with gentle suction and massage. The massage works beneath the skin to stimulate lymphatic drainage and breaking up the connective tissue surrounding fat. This results in a tighter appearance in the treated area. The heat stimulates microcirculation, which restores the skin’s normal balance and provides a healthier appearance.
This service is provided by Jerrold Gertzman, M.D. and Stacey Fornarotto, MS, PA-C. Dr. Jerrold Gertzman is a family practice physician at Hunterdon Family Medicine. After receiving his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Gertzman completed his residency in Family Medicine at Hunterdon Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of The American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Stacey Fornarotto, MS, PA-C is a Physicians Assistant with Hunterdon Family Medicine. Ms. Fornarotto received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology From Trenton State College. She graduated with honors from Robert Wood Johnson’s Physician Assistant Program where she earned her Masters degree. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants. Ms, Fornarotto received training in laser cosmetic procedures from the University of Pennsylvania and additional training from Aesthera and Cynosure.
