Published November 11, 2009
The Hunterdon County Health Department will hold an H1N1 vaccine clinic from 12-4 p.m. at the Route 12 County Complex this Sunday, November 15.
The clinic is for:
• healthy people ages 2-24, who are not pregnant
• caregivers of children younger than six months old who are 49 years old or younger.
The currently available doses are the intranasal FluMist, a form of vaccine not for use in people with medical conditions. They will be given on an appointment basis only. Registration is expected to begin Thursday morning (Nov 12) at 8:30 am. To register, go to the County Health Department’s web site, (www.co.hunterdon.nj.us/health.htm) or call 908-237-7150.
Seven school-located H1N1 clinics are planned when more vaccine becomes available. These clinics will also be primarily for healthy 10- to 24-year-olds and caregivers of children less than six months old. Registration for these clinics will also be online or by phone to the scheduling call center when the vaccine is available. For those clinics, parents are asked to pre-register their children for the location serving their school district.
